‘John The Baptist
Exalted Jesus.’
John 3:27-30.
a)
John 3:27.
John the Baptist said that people cannot receive anything unless it has been
given to them from Heaven.
b)
John 3:28.
John the Baptist said that He was not the Christ but that he was sent before
the Christ.
c)
John 3:29.
The Joy of John the Baptist. He taught that the groom was the person to whom
the bride belongs. The best man’s place is alongside
the groom. The best man’s ears are open to the
groom and therefore the best man has joy.
d)
John 3:30.
Jesus Christ had to receive more importance and John the Baptist had to
decrease in importance.
(Through this QT I see that John the Baptist
exalted Jesus and I desire also to exalt Jesus)
‘Receive God’s Word Well.’
Mark 4:14-20.
a)
Mark 4:14.
The Seed is the Word of God.
b)
Mark 4:15.
Some people are like the wayside ground. As soon as the Seed is fallen to the ground
the Evil one comes and snatches it away.
c)
Mark 4:16.
Some people are like the stony ground. When the Seed is first sown it is
received with Joy.
d)
Mark 4:17.
This Seed cannot become rooted because of the stones so when trouble comes or
pain comes because of the Word of God they quickly fall away.
e)
Mark 4:18-19.
Some people are like thorn bush ground. This ground receives the Seed but it is
stopped from growing and becomes fruitless because of:-
1-
The cares and worries of this life.
2-
The deceitful pleasures of wealth.
3-
The desire for other things.
f)
Mark 4:20.
Some people are like good ground, they take heed to the Word of God. These
people take the Word of God into their heart and become fruitful.
(This
Second one reminds me to Receive God’s Word Well)
Chris.
When
trouble comes or pain comes because of the Word of God these people quickly
fall away. This is a great pity. There is a lack of understanding on the
hearers’ part but also a lack
of Truth proclaiming on the Servant’s part. When we share
the Gospel with other people we need to proclaim the entire Truth. When people
receive the Truth in their heart then Freedom will come to them.
