‘Followers Of Legends.’
2 Timothy 4:3-4.
a)
This is now
the ‘time’ referred to in this Scripture.
b)
Church people
are not listening to sound doctrine.
c)
Church people
are:-
1-
Following their own desires.
2-
Catering for their own passions.
3-
Collecting for themselves and gathering around more
and more ‘teachers’ who are telling them what they want to hear.
4-
Turning away from listening to the Truth.
5-
Giving their
attention to legends.
(This
QT causes me to Pray for the Followers Of Legends)
--------
‘Rahab’s Faith.’
Hebrews
11:31.
a)
Rahab was a
prostitute.
b)
Rahab had
Faith in God.
c)
Rahab trusted
God.
d)
Rahab gave
the Israelite spies a friendly welcome.
e)
Rahab was not
killed with those people who disobeyed God.
(This
Second one causes me to marvel at God’s Grace: Rahab’s Faith)
--------
Chris.
Rahab had Faith in God
and she was a prostitute. This should challenge us as far as our ideas about
evangelism are concerned. All people need Christ, not just the ‘nice’ people that we meet
outside in our work place or social life. We should consider outreach also, in
teams to strategically needy places for the Gospel’s sake.
