‘A Shameful Sin.’
The responses of men and women
who commit adultery are different but both are immersed in shame.
a)
Proverbs 30:20. The woman
who denies by saying that she has done nothing wrong.
b)
Numbers 5:11-31. God’s
Law forbade adultery.
c)
John 8:1-12. Jesus
forgave exposed adultery. He also told
the woman to sin no more.
d)
Jeremiah 3:6-9; Matthew
12:39. Israel shows us an example of adulterous life.
e)
Ezekiel 16:32. An
adulterous wife becomes more perverse.
f)
Matthew 19:18. Jesus said
that no one should commit adultery.
(Through this QT I know that God forbids adultery, it is A
Shameful Sin)
‘Do Not Be Ashamed.’
a)
Luke 9:26. Of Jesus
Christ and His Words.
b)
1 John 2:28. Abide in
Jesus and be ready for His Second coming.
c)
Philippians 1:20-21. As
we live for Jesus Christ.
(This
Second one is a clear call to me: Do Not Be Ashamed)
Chris.
God
shows us many pictures of His People Israel in the Old Testament. In the New
Testament Apostle Paul tells us we are to learn from God’s dealings with Israel
in the Old Testament. If we look at modern Israel, mostly, just as in Old
Testament days, they have turned their back on God. God, however, loves His Old
Testament people Israel. I read that the percentage of missionaries serving
Israel comparing with the actual population is very high. Really Israel needs
our Prayers.
