d)   Psalm 91:15. The Lord is with His People in troubling times.

‘God Expected Something Else.’
Isaiah 5:7-8.
a)    The Vineyard of the Lord of Hosts is the House of Israel.
b)   The people of Judah are God’s pleasant plant.
c)    God expected Judgment and Justice from His People but instead there was:-
1-   Bloodshed.
2-   Oppression.
3-   Distress.
d)   There was coming woe to the greedy people who were joining house to house and field to field, they were obviously depriving other people.
e)    There was going to be no place left.
f)     Then God’s People were going to be all alone. This was a punishment for their greed and God told them that desolation would come.
(Through this Second one we can clearly see that God Expected Something Else from His People but they disappointed Him)

Chris.
The Lord will protect those people who know and trust in His Name. The last three weeks I have been in “front line” places amongst missionaries, future missionaries and mission minded students. What a privilege this has been for me. ‘Protection’ is an important word for missionaries to hear. Most missionaries are in situations all over the World where they really need God’s Protection in one way or another. If the readers know any missionaries I encourage them to pray especially for the missionaries that they know.
