‘Good Disciples.’
2 Thessalonians 3:4.
a) Apostle Paul and his team had confidence in
the Lord about the Thessalonica Believers.
b) That they were doing the things that the
Apostolic team commanded them to do.
c) That they would continue to do the things that
the Apostolic team commanded them to do.
(This QT reminds me of the importance of being a Good Disciple)
‘We Are Really In God’s Family.’
Hebrews 2:11-12.
a) Jesus and the people that He makes Holy have
the same Father.
b) Jesus is not ashamed to call the people that
He makes Holy His brothers and sisters.
c) Jesus said to God the Father that He would
proclaim the Father’s Name to His brothers and sisters.
d) Jesus and all the Family of God would Praise
God amongst the assembled people.
(Through
this Second one I have confidence that I Am Really In God’s Family)
Chris.
Apostle Paul and
his team had confidence in the Lord about the Thessalonica Believers. The
reason for this confidence was the way in which the Thessalonica Believers
responded to Apostle Paul and his team’s Message. Confidence in other people
does depend on their responses to us. It is foolish to put confidence in
someone that we do not know. It is foolish to put our confidence in someone
just because they are famous or have authority. True confidence is built out of
Fellowship.
