Proverbs 30:29-31.
a)      Proverbs 30:29. These are the creatures that really strut around.
b)      Proverbs 30:30. Fearless lions who rule the jungle.
c)       Proverbs 30:31. Proud roosters.
d)      Proverbs 30:31. Mountain goats.
e)      Proverbs 30:31. Rulers who have no enemies.

James 1:4.
a)      Learn to endure everything.
b)      Then we will become completely mature.
c)       Then we will not lack anything.

Rulers who have no enemies often become proud. The word ‘ruler’ here can also mean ‘leader’. When rulers and leaders have enemies it should cause them to examine their lives to see if there is fault that causes people to take offence and become enemies. We should pray for our leaders and rulers that they live humbly before God.
