(This QT reminds me to Watch Out For The Wicked One)
‘Living Righteously.’
Deuteronomy 8:10-18.
a) Deuteronomy 8:10. We should not forget to
Praise the Lord after we have eaten for the good land that He has given to us.
b) Deuteronomy 8:11. We should make sure that
daily we do not:-
1-
Forget the Lord.
2- Disobey the
Lord’s Laws.
3- Disobey the
Lord’s Teachings.
c) Deuteronomy 8:12. If we always obey the Lord
we will have plenty to eat and we will build good houses to live in.
d) Deuteronomy 8:13. We will get more and more:-
1-
Cattle.
2- Sheep.
3- Silver.
4- Gold.
5- Other
possessions.
e) Deuteronomy 8:14. When all this happens:-
1-
We should not be proud.
2- We should
not forget that we were once slaves in Egypt.
3- We should
remember that it was the Lord Who set us free.
f) Deuteronomy 8:15. The Lord has led us through
desert and given us water from the rock. (This is a type of the New Life in
Jesus Christ)
g) Deuteronomy 8:16. The Lord gave us Manna. (The
Bread of Life)
h) Deuteronomy 8:16. The Lord tests us to make us
Trust Him, as we do that we can appreciate His Goodness)
i) Deuteronomy 8:17-18. When we become successful
we should not be proud but we should remember that it is the Lord Who has done
it all.
(This
Second one encourages me to be Living Righteously)
Chris.
When good
things happen to us we should not become proud. We should always give thanks to
the Lord for His Hand on our lives. The ultimate goal of God’s Blessing on us
is that we might Glorify Him. If we are proud about everything we have or that
we have achieved then we really mess up our relationship with God and we go off
in the wrong direction.
