Proverbs
29:5.
a) A person who flatters their neighbour.
b) Spreads a net for his own feet.
c) Spreads a net also for his neighbour’s feet.
d) Proverbs 28:23. Flattering someone is not
going to bring a reward.

‘Wonderful Encounters With Jesus.’
John 4:29-34.
a) John 4:29. The shamed immoral woman after her encounter
with Jesus wanted to tell all her village about Him.
b) John 4:30. All the people of the village came
out to meet Jesus.
c) John 4:31. The Disciples were urging Jesus to
eat something.
d) John 4:32. Jesus told them that He had food to
eat which they did not know about.
e) John 4:33. The Disciples did not understand
Jesus’ statement. They thought that another person had brought Him food.
f) John 4:34; Job 23:12. Jesus taught the
Disciples that His Food was to do the Will of God the Father Who sent Him and
to accomplish His Work.

This is a plea that is
important for every True Believer. Flattery will get us nowhere in the Kingdom
of God. Any favours or relationships that are built on flattery will not stand.
Flattery is actually a form of deception and therefore it is sin.
