‘The
Good Testimony Of The Church.’
1
Thessalonians 1:7-8.
a) The Thessalonian Church were a good example to
all the Believers in Macedonia and Achaia.
b) 2 Thessalonians 3:1. The Word of the Lord
sounded forth from them in those places. This comes through Prayer. It was a
Praying Church.
c) Their Faith in God had gone forth everywhere.
d) Apostle Paul and his team needed not to tell
other people about the Thessalonian Church because their Ministry and Testimony
was already well known.
(Through this QT I can understand the importance of The Good
Testimony Of The Church)
‘Understanding What The Lord Says.’
John 3:3-4.
a) Jesus emphasised to Nicodemus the necessity of
being “born again”.
b) Without being “born again” it would be
impossible to experience the Kingdom of God.
c) Nicodemus could not understand this at all. He
did not give up but rather asked Jesus what He meant.
d) John 1:13. John had already referred to a
Spiritual birth.
e) John 3:7. The correct meaning of “born again” is
“born from above”.
(This Second reminds
me that I should be Understanding What The Lord Says)
Chris.
The Ministry and
Testimony of the Thessalonian Church was well known. They had a clear desire to
further God’s Kingdom to other places too. This Church was a good example to
other Churches in their spreading of the
Word of the Lord. They were Praying people and God had given them Faith.
