‘Do
We Really Understand?’
John
4:10-11.
a) Jesus was talking to the woman at the well
about the Gift of God.
b) Jesus wanted her to know Who it was that was
speaking to her.
c) Jesus was willing to give her Living Water.
d) The woman still did not understand.
e) The woman said that they had nothing to draw
water with and the well was deep.
f) She asked Jesus where she could get this
Living Water.
(Through this QT I question Do We Really Understand all that the
Lord Jesus wants to give us or do we, like the woman, have a merely secular
mind?)
‘Keeping Our Priorities Correctly.’
1 Corinthians 7:32-35.
a) 1 Corinthians 7:32. Apostle Paul wanted the
Corinthian Believers to be free from anxieties and cares in their personal
lives.
b) 1 Corinthians 7:32. The unmarried man True
Believer cares about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord.
c) 1 Corinthians 7:33. The married man True
Believer has to be caring about the things of this World, how to please his
wife.
d) 1 Corinthians 7:34. There is a difference
between wife and virgin True Believers.
e) 1 Corinthians 7:34. The unmarried sister cares
about the things of the Lord, that she may be Holy in Body and Spirit.
f) 1 Corinthians 7:34. The married sister cares
about the things of the World, how she may please her husband.
g) 1 Corinthians 7:35. Apostle Paul tells that
this is not exceptional Teaching of God’s Word, it is proper Teaching of God’s
Word.
h) 1 Corinthians 7:35. All True Believers,
whether single or married should be able to serve the Lord well.
(Through this QT I endeavour
to be Keeping My Priorities Correctly, it is a challenge for me and I need
Wisdom from God)
Chris.
Do we really understand all
that the Lord Jesus wants to give to us? This is a very important question.
There is a very interesting experience that I am going through at this time. I
came from the very intensive and wonderful atmosphere of healthy Korean Churches
into the East Coast of Scotland where everything is much slower, and the
Churches are generally, although not all, struggling. There is a great lack of
Ministers in this part of the World. I would say that Scotland is a Mission
field, an excellent place for Korean Missionaries to come to. My observation is
the same though in both environments. It seems the families of the Ministers
suffer from lack of care and they really do not want to be caught in this
dilemma. I am sure that the Lord has something much better for the families of
His Ministers. The Church needs to understand all that the Lord Jesus wants to
give to everyone in the Church, including Time.
