To Whom Can We Liken God?


‘To Whom Can We Liken God?’
a)    Isaiah 40:18. There is no likeness to compare with Him.
b)    Isaiah 40:25. God Himself asks the question.
c)    Isaiah 46:5. God asks to whom can we:-
1-   Liken Him.
2-   Make equal to Him.
3-   Compare with Him.
d)    Isaiah 46:9. There is none like God.
e)    Exodus 8:10. There is no one like the Lord Our God.  
f)      1 Samuel 2:2. There is none Holy as the Lord.

‘We Will See Him.’
John 14:19.
a)    Jesus said that in a little while the World would see Him no longer.
b)    But the Disciples were going to see Him again.
c)    Because Christ Lives forever, the Disciples were going to also.
(This Second one causes me to Rejoice: I Will See Him)

There is no likeness to compare with God. Sometimes people make artistic and beautiful images to try and depict God. This task that they undertake is great to look at but it cannot be compared with or represent God Himself. The Bible tells us that God is Spirit and that His Worshippers Worship in Spirit and in Truth.
