The John The Baptist Style!


‘The John The Baptist Style.’
Matthew 3:1-7.
a) Matthew 3:1. He preached in the Desert of Judaea.
b) Matthew 3:2. His Message was about repentance and the Kingdom of God.
c) Matthew 3:3. John’s Ministry was prophesied about by Isaiah. Isaiah said:-
1- John would be crying out his message in the desert.
2- John called the people to prepare the Way for the Lord.
3- Make a smooth and straight path for the Lord (by responding to Him).
d) Matthew 3:4. John’s clothes and food were very simple.
e) Matthew 3:5. People went out into the desert to hear John from:-
1- Jerusalem.
2- Judaea.
3- Jordan.
f) Matthew 3:6. These people were water baptised by John and confessed their sins before God.
g) Matthew 3:7. John saw some Pharisee and Sadducee Jewish religious teachers coming out to look. He called them snakes and asked them how they were going to flee from the wrath to come.

‘Solomon In The New Testament.’
a) Matthew 12:42; Luke 11:31. His Wisdom is inferior to the Wisdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.
b) Matthew 1:6-7. The Lord Jesus Christ came from his line in His human form.
c) Matthew 6:29; Luke 12:27. In all his glorious clothing Solomon was not as beautiful as the simple flowers that God created.
d) John 10:23; Acts 3:11; 5:12. A part of the Temple in the times of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Earth was named after Solomon.
e) Acts 7:47. Stephen referred to Solomon as the Temple builder.
(Through this Second one I am challenged to read more about the Old Testament characters that are referred to in the New Testament, Solomon In The New Testament)

The Lord Jesus Christ was and is all Wise. All that He said whilst physically upon the Earth was the Wisdom of God. We need to read and receive into our hearts the Wisdom of God. It devastates the Church and the Mission of the Church when people replace the revealed Wisdom of God with mere human reasoning.
