I Will Come To You!

‘I Will Come To You.’
1 Corinthians 4:19-21.
These words were written by Apostle Paul before his intended visit to Corinth and the Church there.
a) 1 Corinthians 4:19. I will come IF it is pleasing to the Lord.
b) 1 Corinthians 4:19. Apostle Paul did not want to be around any prideful people.
c) 1 Corinthians 4:19. He wanted to take a note of and be in the Power of God that was at work in the Corinthian Church.
d) 1 Corinthians 4:20. The Kingdom of God is not about words but about the Power of God.
e) 1 Corinthians 4:21. Apostle Paul, as a spiritual father of the Church could come with:-
1- Punishment.
2- Love.
3- Gentleness.
(This QT really encourages me about ministry to the Churches, I Will Come To You)

‘Do Not Take A Man’s Position Into Account.’
James 2:1-4.
This passage teaches me that we should not honour important people for our advantage. We should honour them for who they are and not for our own benefit.
a) James 2:1. We live by Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
b) James 2:2. All kinds of people come into the house of Worship.
c) James 2:3. All comers should be welcomed and comfortable.
d) James 2:4. The Church should not have wrong motives in such matters. That is evil thinking.
(This Second one reminds me, as the Church, we Do Not Take A Man’s Position Into Account)

Chris.
The Book of James is so practical. Here we find how our attitudes and behaviour in Church should be – it is taught in a very clear way. To read through the Book of James will surely give a good reminder to us of how it should be in Church.
