Exodus 18:14.
a) Here, Moses was being advised by his father-in-law, who was a heathen priest.
b) He saw all that Moses was doing.
c) His secular mind thought about what Moses was doing.
d) He told Moses that it was not good.
e) Moses sat down.
f) The people stood around him from morning to evening.
g) Moses was giving them wise counsel.

Moses' unbelieving and occult minded father-in-law thought that he was giving Moses wise advice. This advice was totally against what God had said. Moses was busy, but the Lord strengthened him to do the work of a Godly Leader. It is always good, when making decisions in the Church which involve people, to Check It Out With The Bible first.
