1 Peter 1:1-2.

Apostle Peter was directing
this letter to the temporary alien residents scattered throughout:-
1-
Pontus.
2-
Galatia.
3-
Cappadocia.
4-
Asia.
5-
Bithynia.
b)
These Believers were known
by Father God.
c)
They knew the Sanctifying
Work of the Holy Spirit.
d)
They were to Obey Jesus
Christ.
e)
They were sprinkled by the
Blood of Jesus Christ.
f)
Their inheritance was Grace
and Peace being multiplied to them.

‘Our Response To The Witnesses.’
Hebrews 11:39-12:1.
a)
Hebrews 11:39. These
witnesses gained approval for their Faith but they did not receive what was
promised.
b)
Hebrews 11:40. Graciously
God had provided something better for us so that they would not be made perfect
without us.
c)
Hebrews 12:1. We have such a
great cloud of witnesses surrounding us. (Those mentioned in Chapter 11).
d)
Hebrews 12:1. Our response
should be to lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles
us and run with endurance the race that is set before us.

We have such a great
cloud of witnesses surrounding us. When we read Hebrews chapter eleven the
Faith of the people mentioned there inspires our Faith. We do not try to copy
them – that would be wrong. Our Faith is stimulated through reading their
stories.
