‘Their Leaders Became Their Downfall.’
Isaiah 28:1-4.
a)
Isaiah 28:1.
The Kingdom of Israel was doomed, it had become like a fading flower. Their
leaders were well perfumed but drunk.
b)
Isaiah 28:2. The Lord has someone strong and powerful ready to
attack them, someone who will come like a hailstorm, like a torrent of rain,
like a rushing, overpowering flood, and will overwhelm the land.
c)
Isaiah 28:3. The Pride of their drunken
Leaders will be trampled underfoot.
d)
Isaiah 28:4. The fading glory of those proud
leaders will disappear like the first figs of the season, picked and eaten as
soon as they are ripe.

Chris.
We need to be prayerfully and caringly concerned for the
Nations. We frequently read of the devastating effects of the environmental
situations in many Nations. Floods, drought, fires and earthquakes are amongst
some of the disasters. Other Nations and Churches need to help in some way.
