If The Lord Is Willing!


‘If The Lord Is Willing.’
James 4:13-15.
a)    James 4:13. God is speaking to certain people. These people are the I/we will people.
b)    James 4:13. They think about:-
1-  Moving to another city.
2-  Staying there for a certain time – a year.
3-  Going into business.
4-  Making a lot of money.
5-  All without seeking God!
c)    James 4:14. James reminds these people that they do not know what will happen tomorrow.
d)    James 4:14. Their lives are:-
1-  Like a mist.
2-  Seen for a short time.
3-  Going away.
e)    James 4:15. They should be thinking of and doing what God wants. If the Lord is willing, then they can do His Will.
(This QT teaches me an important principle of life: If The Lord Is Willing)

b)    Exodus 32:1. Moses from the mountain.
c)    1 Samuel 10:5. Prophets from the place of Worship.
d)    2 Samuel 19:31. Barzillai from Gilead to escort King David across the River Jordan.
e)    Song of Solomon 4:8. The Bride from the top of Mount Amana.
f)     Isaiah 47:1. Babylon from their throne.
g)    Isaiah 55:10. Snow and rain from the sky to water the Earth.
h)    Jeremiah 13:18. The king and his mother from their throne.
i)     Jeremiah 48:18. People living in Dibon come down from your place of honour.
j)     Ezekiel 26:16. Kings of the seafaring Nations from their thrones.
k)    John 6:38. Jesus from Heaven to do the Will of the Father.
l)     James 1:17. Good and perfect Gifts from God.
(This Second one causes me to ponder upon things and people Coming Down)

Tomorrow! This day is always a mystery. We do not know what may happen tomorrow. Whatever our environment is now makes no difference. We do not know what may happen tomorrow. This is exactly what James was writing to the people about. Tomorrow is always a mystery and we have to be ready for that.
