4:8-9.

Come near to God. (Very important to do this
first)
b)
Then He will come near to us.
c)
Sinners and hypocrites need clean hands and
pure hearts.
d)
Sinners and Hypocrites in front of God need
to:-
1- Be sorrowful.
2- Lament.
3- Mourn.
4- Weep.
5- Change their laughter into crying.
6- Turn their joy into gloom.

‘Stand Firm And Steady.’
1 Corinthians 15:58.
a)
This is written to the dear Brothers and
Sisters of the Church.
b)
They are to stand:-
1- Firm.
2- Steadfast.
3- Immoveable.
c)
They are to abound in the Work of the Lord.
d)
They should know that nothing that they ever
do in the Lord’s Service is useless.
(This Second one is great
encouragement to me: Stand Firm And Steady)

There are times when we need to mourn for
our sin and sinfulness before God. This is a part of the normal Christian life,
it is not negative, it is very positive because the result of that mourning
should be repentance. Someone once said that without repentance there is no
Salvation.
