‘A Little Flame.’
James 3:3-5.
a)
James 3:3. We put bits
into the mouths of horses and then we have control over everything that they
do.
b)
James 3:4. Ships are very
huge. They are driven by the winds. Yet the pilot directs them by steering a
small rudder.
c)
James 3:5. The tongue is
a small part of the body and yet it can brag about doing great and important
things.
d)
James 3:5. A large forest
can be set on fire by a little flame.
(This QT reminds me to control A Little Flame in my mouth)
‘Blessed And Trustworthy Witnesses.’
Acts 3:15.
a)
The Jews killed the One
Who gives Life.
b)
God raised Him from the
dead. (Brought Him back to Life)
c)
Peter and John were
witnesses to this.
(Through this
Second one I thank God for Blessed And Trustworthy Witnesses)
Chris.
The pilot can direct a
huge ship by steering a small rudder. This is a tremendous skill that we see
often as we watch, or ride, the big ships. Near our home is the harbour mouth.
A narrow channel leads from the port to the ocean. The pilot needs much skill
to direct the ships every time. Our tongue is like that rudder that we need to
control well.
