‘Sickness May Be Healed.’
James 5:14-16.
a)
James 5:14. If anyone is sick they should call
for the Church Elders. (Not the Church Elders call for them)
b)
James 5:14. The Church Elders can Pray over
the sick person after anointing them with oil. (The oil is for medical and not
only spiritual value)
c)
James 5:15. The Prayer of Believing Faith will
save the sick person.
d)
James 5:15. The Lord is the One Who restores
the sick person to health.
e)
James 5:15. There can also be forgiveness of
sins in this process.
f)
James 5:16. We are to confess our sins to one
another and Pray for one another that we may be Healed. (Not will be but may
be)
g)
James 5:16. The urgent request of a Righteous
person is very powerful in its effect.
(This QT
reveals that Sickness May Be Healed)
‘An
Inheritance In Him.’
Ephesians
1:11-14.
a)
Ephesians 1:11. We have received an
Inheritance in Christ, predestined according to the purpose of the One Who
works out everything in agreement with the decision of His Will.
b)
Ephesians 1:12. With this Inheritance we who
already have put our Hope in the Messiah might bring Praise to His Glory.
c)
Ephesians 1:13. When the Ephesians heard the
Message of Truth, the Gospel of their Salvation, and when they Believed in Him,
they were also sealed with the Promised Holy Spirit. (The experience should be
the same for every True Believer, including ourselves)
d)
Ephesians 1:14. The Holy Spirit is a Guarantee
of purchase, until the day when God completes the Redemption of what He has
paid for as His Own; and that will be to the Praise of His Glory.
(Through this Second one I thank God for An
Inheritance In Him)
Chris.
The Holy Spirit is a Guarantee of purchase. Every True
Believer has the Holy Spirit! This is clearly one of the major themes of the
writings of Apostle Paul and also of the Teachings of Jesus Christ referring to
the New Testament Church. Having the Holy Spirit as a Guarantee and having
Gifts from the Holy Spirit are two separate subjects. To be a True Believer one
must have the first but not necessarily the second.
