Matthew 10:40. Whoever
receives a Disciple of Jesus Christ receives Christ and also receives the
Father Who sent Him.

Matthew 10:41. Everyone
who receives a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward.

who receives a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.

Matthew 10:42. Every
Disciple of Jesus Christ who gives a little one a cup of water will not lose
their reward.

Rewards
are mentioned in the Bible. God surely rewards His People both on Earth and in
Heaven. Mostly rewards come to those people who obey the Lord. Obedience should
be a universal response to God’s Word. We obey God because we love Him and we
obey God because He is God and He is worthy of the simple obedience of His
People. We do not obey God in order to try to get rewards from Him.
