Chris.
Guard
these things! This is a very clear and wise instruction. Firstly, in order to
guard them they need to become ours. Sometimes True Believers are more
interested in political and social issues than they are in the Word of God. If
they become like this they are both too noisy and empty. Secondly, we are to
guard these words in Faith and Love, it is when we do this that the Word of God
works in us and through us. Finally and thirdly, we need to realise how
precious the Word of God and the Holy Spirit are.
