‘We Need To Submit Ourselves.’
1 Peter 2:13-14.
a)
Notice this is
not involuntary – it is not forced submission.
b)
We need to submit
to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s Sake.
c)
Whether it is to
the King or to the Governors.
d)
The Governors are
not perfect people but they have been appointed by the King to punish evildoers
and to praise those people who do good.
(This QT reminds me that I Need To Submit Myself)
‘This Is What God Wants.’
Matthew 12:7.
a)
We need to know
what this means.
b)
Matthew 9:13;
Hosea 6:6. God wants Mercy and Kindness.
c)
God does not want
animal sacrifices.
d)
If we really know
what this means we will not condemn people who are not guilty.
(Through
this Second one I know that This Is What God Wants)
Chris.
There are
two classifications of persons here. Firstly, there are evildoers. This refers
not to inner things only but it refers to what these people do – they are evil
doers and Peter here writes about their punishment. Secondly, there are people
who do good and they should be praised for what they do, even rewarded in some
way for it.
