‘The Leaders Of God’s Flock.’
1 Peter 5:1-2.
a)
Peter was writing to his
equals, he called them “fellow Elders”.
b)
John 21:16. He reminds them
that he was a witness to the sufferings of the Messiah.
c)
He in one who shares in the
Glory to be revealed.
d)
Now came his exhortation to
the Elders.
e)
Acts 20:28. They were to Shepherd
the flock among them, not under compulsion but willingly.
f)
They were to serve as God
would have them to serve.
g)
They were not to minister to
make money.
h)
They were to minister
eagerly.

‘There Are Times
That We Do Not Approach.’
Exodus 20:21.
a)
The People of God remained
standing at a distance.
b)
Moses drew near to the thick
darkness.
c)
God was in that darkness.
(This Second one
reminds me that There Are Times That We Do Not Approach, especially when our
Leaders are in communion with God)

The Leaders of the
Church were to Shepherd the flock among them. Flocks always need to be taken
care of, no matter the age of the sheep or lambs. It is when Church Leaders get
out of touch with the flock that more and more difficulties come into the
Church. Church Leaders may have a multitude of tasks, some they can delegate,
others not, however a priority needs to be the Shepherding of the flock. (God’s
