‘It Is Correct To Abstain.’
1 Peter 2:11.
a)      Peter is writing to people who are ‘dearly beloved.’
b)      Peter begs and beseeches them because they are:-
1-     Strangers.
2-     Pilgrims.
3-     Visitors.
c)      They are to abstain from fleshly lusts.
d)      These war against the soul.
(This QT teaches me that It Is Correct To Abstain)

‘Things To Come.’
a)      Colossians 2:17. Are often preceded by a shadow of foretaste.
b)      Hebrews 9:11. Christ came as a High Priest of good things to come.
c)      Hebrews 10:1. The Law is a shadow of the good things to come.
d)      Hebrews 11:20. Isaac Blessed Jacob and Israel concerning them.
e)      Isaiah 45:11. Ask the Lord concerning them.
f)        John 16:13. The Holy Spirit shows them to us.
g)      Romans 8:38-39. Cannot separate us from the Love of God.

Why expose ourselves to  the things that war against our soul? Our inner life is very important and precious to God - He Created us who we are. Our soul is our thinking mind, our will and our emotions. (Our inner man) God’s desire for us is that our inner man be kept unharmed.
