‘Jesus Loved Him.’
Mark 10:17-22.
a)
Mark 10:17. The wealthy young man who ran to
Jesus. He kneeled before Jesus – that was genuine humility.
b)
Mark 10:17. This young man then asked Jesus
what he had to do so that he could have Eternal Life.
c)
Mark 10:18. Jesus answered him in an unusual
way. He asked him why did he call Him good. Only God is good Jesus said.
d)
Mark 10:19. Jesus recited the Commands of God
to the rich young ruler.
e)
Mark 10:20. The young man told Jesus that he
had observed all those Commands since he was a boy.
f)
Mark 10:21. Jesus looked at him and loved him.
g)
Mark 10:21. Jesus told him that there was one
more thing that he needed to do.
h)
Mark 10:21. He was to sell everything he had
and then give the money to the poor. Then:-
1-
He
would have Treasure in Heaven.
2-
He
could take up his cross.
3-
He
could follow Jesus.
i)
Mark 10:22. The young man was sad when he
heard Jesus say that and he went away sorrowfully because he was rich.

Forgiven And Abundantly Pardoned.’
Isaiah
55:7.
a)
The Lord called on the wicked people to stop
doing wrong.
b)
The Lord called on the unrighteous people to
stop their evil thoughts.
c)
The Lord called these people to return to
Himself.
d)
The Lord will have Mercy upon them.
e)
God will freely Forgive them and abundantly
Pardon them.

The rich young man was indeed a
pure young man but he had false security in his wealth and belongings. I
believe that what he said to Jesus was really true. He had kept all the
Commandments of God as he was growing up. His deep trust, however, was not in
the Lord, it was in his possessions. His misplaced trust did not prevent Jesus
from loving him.
