Prayer Is Always Important!

‘Prayer Is Always Important.’
Mark 14:32-36.
a)       Mark 14:32. Jesus went with His Disciples to a place called Gethsemane and He told them to sit there and wait whilst He went to Pray.
b)       Mark 14:33. Jesus was sad and troubled and He took along with Him Peter, James and John.
c)       Mark 14:34. Jesus gave the three Apostles:-
1-      His Soul was swallowed up in sorrow.
2-      He was sorrowful enough to die.
3-      They were to remain at the place.
4-      They were to stay awake. (Meaning watch and Pray)
d)       Mark 14:35. Jesus Himself:-
1-      Went on a little farther.
2-      Fell to the ground.
3-      Prayed about the possibility of the suffering of the Cross to be passed from Him.
e)       Mark 14:36. Jesus Prayed:-
1-      Abba Father.
2-      All things are possible for You.
3-      Take this cup away from Me.
4-      Nevertheless, not what I Will but what You Will.
(Jesus gave us this powerful example that Prayer Is Always Important, especially when we know that we are to face a time, or times, of suffering)

‘Because God Loves Us And Has Chosen Us.’
Colossians 3:12.
a)       God Loves us.
b)       God has Chosen us as His Own special people.
c)       Therefore we should be:-
1-      Gentle.
2-      Kind.
3-      Humble.
4-      Meek.
5-      Patient.
(This Second one Teaches me my ‘should be’ responses Because God Loves Me And Has Chosen Me)

Chris.
Because God Loves us and has Chosen us our lives as True Believers should take on many positive facets that it is impossible for people in this World to have. The Bible tells us to be Gentle. The Bible tells us to be kind. The Bible tells us to be Humble. The Bible tells us to be Meek. The Bible tells us to be Patient. I am challenged by this but I want to try.
