‘Serving
The New Or Poor Church.’
2
Thessalonians 3:7-9.
a) 2 Thessalonians 3:7. Apostle Paul and his team
set a good example to the new True Believers in the Thessalonica Church, they
were not idle.
b) 2 Thessalonians 3:8. They paid their way so as
not to burden the new Church. Even they worked hard day and night.
c) 2 Thessalonians 3:9. They had a right to be
supported by the new Church but rather they wanted to set the Church a good
example.
(Through this QT I see good motivation for Ministers who are
Serving The New Or Poor Church)
‘A People Holy To The Lord.’
Deuteronomy 7:6-11.
a) Deuteronomy 7:6. We are a People Holy to the
Lord our God.
b) Deuteronomy 7:6. The Lord our God has chosen
us to be a People for His Treasured Possession, out of all the peoples who are
on the face of the Earth.
c) Deuteronomy 7:7. The Lord set His Love on us
and chose us even though we were the fewest of the peoples.
d) Deuteronomy 7:8. The Lord:-
1- Loves us.
2- Is keeping His former Promise.
3- Has brought us out with a Mighty
Hand.
4- Has Redeemed us.
e) Deuteronomy 7:9. We should know that the Lord
our God is a Faithful God Who keeps His Covenant and steadfast Love with those
people who love Him and keep His Commandment.
f) Deuteronomy 7:10. God repays those people who
hate Him.
g) Deuteronomy 7:11. As His People we should be
careful to obey the Lord.
(Through this Second
one I understand more about what it means to be A People Holy To The Lord)
Chris.
Serving a new or poor Church
is never an easy thing to do. Firstly, there is a difficult financial situation
to face and the Minister and Leaders of the Church need to set a good example.
Secondly, the Biblical pattern needs to be followed: Bible Study, Fellowship,
Holy Communion and Prayer. These activities need to be taught in the Church as
well as the Ministry of Hospitality and outreach in some form. Thirdly, we
realise the importance of every worshipper to God and to the Church.
