These are not bad or wrong things.

To eat food.
c)
To drink liquid.
d)
To find enjoyment in our toil.
e)
These things come from the Hand of God.

‘Prophecy.’
a)
1 Corinthians 14:3. The Gift of Prophecy is
for:-
1-
Edification.
2-
Exhortation.
3-
Comfort.
b)
Acts 21:9. They prophesied but this did not
make them prophets.
c)
1 Corinthians 14:4, 5 & 12. A person who
prophesies builds up the Church.
d)
1 Corinthians 13:9. Is never complete.
e)
Romans 12:6. It is used in proportion to our
Faith.
f)
1 Corinthians 14:29 & 32. It is always
subject to judgment by others who prophesy.
g)
James 3:10-12. It can be judged by the
Character of the person.
h)
1 Corinthians 14:1 & 39. This gift can be
earnestly desired.
i)
1 Thessalonians 5:20. Are not to be despised.
j)
2 Corinthians 3:17. Comes as a result of the
liberty in and of the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes we have thoughts that are based
on religious tradition rather than on the Word of God. God’s Word actually
encourages us to eat, drink and find enjoyment rather than to fast and be
miserable. I do not object to fasting but it should be led by the Holy Spirit
and done for some special and specific reason.
