The Sending Of The Seventy!


'The Sending Of The Seventy.'
Luke 10:1-16.
a)  Luke 10:1. The Seventy Disciples were sent ahead of the Lord Jesus by Himself into the cities where He was going. They were forerunners. 
b)  Luke 10:2. Not only were they to go but they were also to Pray for more people to join the Harvest as God's Labourers.
c)  Luke 10:3. They were to go as lambs going into a pack of wolves. 
d)  Luke 10:4. They were not to carry excessive money of goods.
e)  Luke 10:4. On their journey they were not to waste time. 
f)  Luke 10:5-6. They were to go into Peaceful and Peace loving homes. 
g)  Luke 10:7. When they visited a town they were not to stay in different homes but they were to remain in one lodging. 
h)  Luke 10:8. They were to eat whatever they were offered.
i)  Luke 10:9. They were to heal the sick and announce the Message of God's Kingdom.
j)  Luke 10:10-12. If they were not welcomed in certain towns they were still to announce the Message of God's Kingdom.
k)  Luke 10:13-15. A clear Message from the Lord for the people of:- 
1-Chorazin.
2-Tyre.
3-Sidon.
4-Capernaum.
l)  Luke 10:16. These Disciples had the responsibility of bringing the Lord's Message.

a)  He arose very early in the morning.
b)  It was the first day of the week. 
c)  He appeared first to Mary of Magdala out of whom He had cast seven demons. 
(This Second one calls me to Rejoice in Jesus' Resurrection Day)

The Seventy Disciples who went out preparing the way for Jesus were to visit and stay in Peaceful and Peace Loving homes. The servants of the Lord should not stay in dysfunctional families. This is a lesson for us today, whether we are the host Church or the visiting Minister, when we visit and are hosted we should stay in Peaceful and Peace Loving Homes. It is a high calling to be the Head of a Peaceful and Peace Loving Home.
