Chris.
In some denominations of the Christian Church there are a class of ministers called 'Exhorter'. These ministers have a responsibility to speak words of exhortation from the Word of God to the Church, usually not in the main Lord's Day Worship. They are not yet ordained as 'Pastors' and are not responsible for any shepherd care in the Church for people in a personal way. Their ministry is to exhort from God's Word. Maybe the Church world wide in all denominations would benefit greatly if a term of one or two years be given to every potential minister called by God to serve, as a part of their training, as an Exhorter.
