John 8:1-11.
a) John 8:1-2. The Teachings of Jesus need to be followed by His followers.
b) John 8:3. Real situations need to be dealt with in Love and not accusation. They need to be opened to the Lord Jesus and not hidden.
c) John 8:4. The religious enemies of Jesus simply wanted to make trouble by accusing the woman.
d) John 8:5. The accusers abused the Law to attack Jesus.
e) John 8:6. Jesus was simply quiet and ignored the accusers.
f) John 8:7. The answer of Jesus was not to hide the issue but to expose the sinfulness of man.
g) John 8:8-9. The accusers all left and Jesus was left alone with the woman. Her sin was not hidden, Jesus was going to deal with it His way.
h) John 8:10-11. Jesus forgave her sin, taking away her guilt and set her free to go and sin no more. She had a clean conscience when she went away from Him and maybe (8:12) became one of His Followers.

'The Son Of Man Came.'
Mark 10:45.
a) Not to be ministered to.
b) To minister.
c) (1 Timothy 2:6; Isaiah 53:12) To give His Life as a ransom for many people.
(Through this Second one I clearly know why The Son Of Man Came)

Chris.
The accusers used the Law to attack Jesus. It is quite a similar situation in the days in which we live. Legalistic religious accusers do not like the freedom which have in Jesus Christ and sometimes look for any opportunity to criticise or bind people who live in that freedom. We are Saved by Grace and we live in Grace.
