'Wages Are An Obligation!'

(Through this Second one I know that They Should Have Understood)
PRAYER: That we will understand what the Bible says.
--------
Chris.
The just treatment of employees does not have its roots in Socialism, or in the Trade Union movements, its roots are found in the Bible. We find them in the Teachings of Jesus Christ Himself and then in the Epistles. The Bible covers all kinds of relationships between human beings and its Words are still appropriate today.
Jesus Himself often "took the side" of the poor and rejected people, and helped them in practical ways. He sometimes spoke strongly against people treating others in a bad or unjust way.
In my past, I experienced the power of Trade Unions first-hand, and the benefits that they, through negotiations of some form, could bring about by way of change to the lives and working conditions of their members. In those days they definitely aimed to improve the lives of ordinary people.
Jesus Christ Himself was 'far above' politics when He walked upon this Earth. He was not just preaching Social Justice, His theme was The Kingdom of God. He taught His Disciples to pray to our Father God: "Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done...". The Kingdom of God, it tells us in the New Testament, is Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit!
The 'Lord's Prayer' contains the Words that we read above because He wants to establish His Kingdom and His Will on Earth, He wants His Kingdom first, to be lived out upon this Earth, before its manifestation in Eternity.
