Chris.
The Church is Loved and Sanctified through what Jesus Christ has done for it! Our first response should be towards our Lord: Worship, Thanksgiving and Obedience towards Him. Our Second response should be understanding, through Bible reading and exposure to the Preached Word of God and Bible study. If we cannot attend the Church and have good fellowship, then this facility is available in many Nations on the internet. If it is possible, we should attend a Church, or watch the internet, where our first language is used. Some people are deceived if they watch a Church on TV, or listen to Gospel Radio, in a foreign language, or use it for language practice and learning. We should not do that! We need to fully understand in our heart, what the Lord is saying to us personally and not be manipulated.
The preferred way to Bible Study and Prayer is through the Church in our locality, if we cannot go to Church, it is to have personal Bible Study and Prayer, get a 'Bible Study Help' book from the local Christian Bookshop, or download Bible Studies from authentic Biblical ministries on the internet, actually both of these are very helpful. The most profitable way in which we get fed 'on the Word', and grow as a Believer in Christ is first: our personal QT Bible Study and Prayer. Second: by and through Church attendance, if it is possible. Third: through broadcast material on the radio or internet in a language that we fully understand.
