Straight Paths!


'Straight Paths.'
Hebrews 12:13.
a)  We are to make straight paths for our feet.
b)  This is something that we need to do.
c)  Then what is lame will not become dislocated.
d)  But it can be healed.
(This QT encourages me to make Straight Paths for my feet)

'Feet.'
a)  2 Samuel 19:24; Jeremiah 2:25. Need to be cared for.
b)  2 Samuel 22:37; Psalm 18:36; 31:8. Do not slip on a wide path.
c)  1 Kings 5:3; 2 Kings 13:7; Psalm 91:13. Under them is the place for our enemies.
d)  2 Kings 4:37. Were the place to show Honour and Reverence.
e)  2 Kings 13:21. Are to stand on.
f)  2 Kings 21:8; Proverbs 4:27. Should not wander.
g)  Esther 7:7. May be used in the expression of anger.
h)  Job 9:13. God's Feet can crush the sea monsters.
i)  Job 12:5; Psalm 73:2; 94:18. Sometimes slip.
j)  Job 13:27; Jeremiah 18:22. May be put in stocks.
k)  Psalm 9:15. Sometimes get caught in their own trap.
l)  Psalm 17:5; 66:9; 116:8. Do not slip when we follow God's Path carefully.
m)  Psalm 18:9. The Lord comes with dark storm clouds under His Feet.
n)  Psalm 18:33. God can make our feet like the feet of a deer.
o)  Psalm 22:16. The Feet of Jesus were pierce at the Cross.
p)  Psalm 25:15. The Lord will pluck our feet out of the net.
q)  Psalm 40:2. God sets our feet on solid ground.
r)  Psalm 119:101. We need to hold them back from every evil way.
s)  Psalm 119:105. God's Word is a lamp for them.
t)  Proverbs 4:26. We are to ponder their path.
u)  Proverbs 19:2; Isaiah 59:7; Jeremiah 14:10. Hurrying on our feet may cause us to do evil.
v)  Isaiah 52:7. Beautiful feet bring the Good News.
w)  Jeremiah 13:16. May stumble on dark mountains.
x)  Ezekiel 3:24. The Holy Spirit can set us on our feet.
y)  Ezekiel 6:11. Can be stamped in despair and horror.
z)  Ezekiel 25:6. Can be a sign of Malice.
(This Second one teaches me about the significance of Feet)

A phrase that is sometimes used by Fathers to their sons or by Teachers to their students says that the time for those sons or students to 'stand on their own feet' has come. For some sons and students these are challenging words indeed. To others, who have already been learning to be responsible, these words are just a confirmation for their life.
