‘False And
Fleshly Loyalty.’
Matthew
26:31-35.
a) Matthew 26:31. Jesus knew
that all of His Disciples were about to become deserters.
b) Matthew 26:31. He told
them about the Scripture which said that if the Shepherd is struck then the
sheep will flee away.
c) Matthew 26:32. Jesus
Promised His Disciples resurrection and His Presence.
d) Matthew 26:33. Peter said
to Jesus that even if all the other Disciples were to forsake Him that he would
never do that.
e) Matthew 26:34. Jesus told
Peter clearly that he was going to deny Him that same night.
f) Matthew 26:35. Peter and
all the other Disciples rejected that. They all said that they would die with
Jesus and not deny Him. They had false and fleshly loyalty.
(Through this Second one I Pray that I will
never have False And Fleshly Loyalty because all it really is is hypocrisy)

Chris.
Onesiphorus was faithful in friendship and
fellowship. All of his motives were pure and he loved to serve Apostle Paul
during the time of his detention. He was not like Peter who was ‘all mouth but
no action’ We can learn so much from this humble and faithful man of God.
