Isaiah 45:21.
a) Declare and present what is to be.
b) Let the people take counsel together.
c) The Lord foretold this from long ago.
d) The Lord declared this in the distant past.
e) There is no god apart from the Lord.
f) The Lord is a Righteous God and a Saviour.

a) God has Saved us.
b) God has called us with a Holy Calling.
c) Not because of anything that we have done.
d) By His Own Purpose and Grace.
e) This Grace was given us in Christ Jesus.
f) Before the World began.

There is no god apart from the Lord. Everyone and everything else that claims to be a "god" is not a god at all. We should be very careful in our daily vocabulary when we talk about people having "gods". I think it is really not a good word to use because it is not really true. An infatuation is not a god. Something filling our lives that should not be is not a god. The Lord - He is God.
