Exhortation!


‘Exhortation.’
a)        Hebrews 13:22. May come from a letter written to us.
b)       Romans 12:8. May come from a person with the Gift of Exhortation.
c)        1 Timothy 4:13. Pastor Timothy was to give himself to it.
d)       Hebrews 12:5. Should not be forgotten by the hearers or readers.
(This QT reminds me of the value of Exhortation)

‘Look, Think, Then Walk
Proverbs 4:25-26.
a)        Our eyes should look directly forwards.
b)       Our gaze should be straight before us.
c)        We need to ponder the path of our feet.
d)       Then all our ways will be secure.
(This Second one tells me to Look, Think, Then Walk)

Exhortation may come from a letter written to us. I can never and will never criticise the modern methods of communication. Surely it is a healthy sign of humanity’s desire to communicate. Walls come down and misunderstandings can be erased through good communication. Giving and receiving communicated expectation is a wonderful and joyful thing to do.
