Learning Righteousness!

‘Learning Righteousness.’
Isaiah 26:9.
a)    Isaiah, with his soul, longed for the Lord at night.
b)    Isaiah, with his spirit, eagerly looked for the Lord.
c)     When the Lord’s Guiding Principles are on the Earth then the inhabitants of the World shall learn Righteousness.
(Through this QT I continually want to be Learning Righteousness)
----------------
‘We Need To Want That.’
Isaiah 30:15.
a)    This is what the Lord God Almighty says, the Holy One of Israel:-
1-   You can be Saved by returning to me.
2-   You can have rest.
3-   You can have quietness.
b)    In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.
c)     BUT.
d)    You do not want that.
(This Second one reminds me that I Need To Want That)
----------------
Chris.

I continually want to be learning Righteousness! I know that Christ is my Righteousness, as is the same for every True Believer. This, however, should not make us lazy about living a Righteous life. I want to continually be learning Righteousness and not just about it.

We Belong To God!

‘We Belong To God.’
1 Corinthians 3:9.
a)       We are God’s Co-Workers.
b)       We are all God’s Field.
c)       We are all God’s Building too.
(Through this QT I proclaim that I Belong To God)
---------------
‘Time To Sing And Time To Be Silent.’
Zechariah 2:10-13.
a)       Zechariah 2:10. God’s People were to sing and rejoice because the Lord was coming to live amongst them.
b)       Zechariah 2:11. On that day when the Lord comes to dwell amongst His People many Nations will come to the Lord and become His People.
c)       Zechariah 2:12.  The Lord will again take control Judah as His Own and Jerusalem as His Holy City.
d)      Zechariah 2:13. Everyone should then be silent in the Presence of the Lord.
e)       Zechariah 2:13. The Lord has roused Himself and He is coming out of His Holy Dwelling Place.
This Second one teaches me that there is a Time To Sing And  Time To Be Silent)
---------------
Chris.

There is a time to sing and a time to be silent in God’s Church even until this day. Most people naturally like to sing it comforts them or gives them some kind of good feeling.  This kind of singing should never be in the Church. Worship needs to be Spiritual and not soul centred. When the Church is really moving in the Holy Spirit then people begin to know, especially the Leader of the Service, when to sing and when to be silent.

Abraham's Faith!

‘Abraham’s Faith.’
James 2:20-24.
a)       James 2:20. Faith which does nothing is useless and foolish “faith”.
b)       James 2:21. Abraham received God’s approval as a result of what he did when he offered his son Isaac as a sacrifice on the altar.
c)       James 2:22. Abraham’s Faith and what he did worked together.
d)      James 2:22. Abraham’s Faith was shown to be genuine by what he did.
e)       James 2:23. The Scripture was fulfilled that said that Abraham Believed God, and that Faith was regarded as the basis of Abraham’s approval by God.
f)        James 2:23. Abraham was called God’s Friend.
g)       James 2:24. We see that a person is justified by Works and not by Faith Alone.
(This QT clearly shows me Abraham’s Faith)
--------------
‘A Message From God’s Angel To Zechariah.’
Zechariah 4:6.
a)       The Angel spoke the pure Word of God, recorded as such in Holy Scripture.
b)       We will not succeed by might.
c)       We will not succeed by power.
d)      We will only succeed by the Spirit of the Lord.
(I learn from this Second one: A Message From God’s Angel To Zechariah)
--------------
Chris.
Abraham’s Faith was shown to be genuine by what he did. There is a great need today in the Churches for people with the same concept as Abraham, people who show their genuine Faith by what they do. Of course we believe that Salvation is purely by Grace! We should however produce the fruit that comes from Salvation.

Choose The Correct Path!

‘Choose The Correct Path.’
Isaiah 26:6-8.
a)       Isaiah 26:6. Do not follow the path of the:-
1-     Oppressed.
2-     Poor.
3-     Needy.
b)       Isaiah 26:7. Follow the path of the Righteous People.
c)       Isaiah 26:8. Follow the path of God’s Guiding Principles.
(This QT reminds me to Follow The Correct Path)
-------------
‘Remember Who We Have Received.’
Romans 8:15.
a)       We have not received the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear.
b)       We have received the Spirit of Adoption as God’s Children.
c)       Now we can cry out Abba! Father!
(This Second one helps me to Remember Who I Have Received)
-------------
Chris.
We need to learn from and follow the path of the Righteous People. The path of the Righteous People is a path that is a safe way in which to go. We do not encounter sin on this path we encounter the ability to overcome. This following does not just happen automatically,  it is a choice that we need to make.

With Us Forever!

‘With Us Forever.’
John 14:16.
a)      Jesus will Pray to the Father. (I believe He still Prays for us at the Father’s Right Hand)
b)     The Father will give us another Helper. (The Holy Spirit)
c)      The Holy Spirit will be with us forever.
(Through this QT I thank God for the Holy Spirit – He is With Me Forever)
------------
‘Secure And Rejoicing.’
Psalm 16:8-9.
a)      The Psalmist always remembered that the Lord was with him.
b)     When He is by our side we cannot be moved or defeated.
c)      So our heart and soul are:-
1-    Glad.
2-    Rejoicing.
3-    Very happy.
d)     Our body lives in Security and Safety.
(Through this Second one I am Secure And Rejoicing)
------------
Chris.

I am calmly convinced that I should be frequently thankful to God for the Holy Spirit Who dwells in me and is with me forever. This should be the first response of every True Believer to God for His Gift of the Holy Spirit. Firstly the Holy Spirit manifests God’s Consistency to us, Guidance, Fruit and Gifts may follow.

More Than Just Belief In God!

‘More Than Just Belief In God.’
James 2:19.
a)      People in James’s days were the same as people today, they simply exclaimed that they Believed in God.
b)     James said that was fine.
c)      But the demons also believe the same thing and tremble.
(This QT helps me to understand that the Life of Faith is More Than Just Belief In God)
-----------
‘Friends Of Jesus.’
John 15:14.
a)      Jesus said that we are His Friends.
b)     If.
c)      We obey His Commandments.
(Through this Second one I want to be a Friend Of Jesus)
-----------
Chris.

It is important that True Believers understand the Life of Faith. It is not the Life of Faith to simply say that we are Christian. Many people say that who actually have no Faith at all. If we are truly going to live the Life of Faith our Faith needs to be expressed in our actions as well as in our words.

The Inhabitants Of Loftiness!

‘The Inhabitants Of Loftiness.’
Isaiah 26:5.
a)      They were:-
1-    Proud.
2-    Wealthy.
3-    Fortified.
4-    Magnificent.
b)     God will level their building into the ground
c)      God will throw it into the dust.
(This QT teaches me what happens to The Inhabitants Of Loftiness)
----------
‘Thank You Lord Jesus For Going To The Cross.’
Isaiah 53:2-5.
a)      Isaiah 53:2. Jesus at the Cross had no form or majesty that would “make Him look desirable.
b)     Isaiah 53:3. Jesus was despised and rejected by people – a man of sorrows.
c)      Isaiah 53:4. He took our suffering and sorrows to the Cross. We thought that God had:-
1-    Wounded Him.
2-    Beat Him.
3-    Punished Him.
d)     Isaiah 53:5. Jesus was:-
1-    Wounded for our transgressions.
2-    Crushed for our sins
3-    Punished so that we could have Peace.
4-    Suffering the stripes of beating so that we can be healed.
(This Second one makes me exclaim: Thank You Lord Jesus For Going To The Cross)
----------
Chris.

It is never good to be lofty or to dwell in loftiness. Surely those people who call themselves “Christians” who dwell in loftiness will be brought low and brought down. Both Old and New Testaments exhort us to be humble in front of God.

Amazing Sacrifice!

‘Amazing Sacrifice.’
1 John 2:2.
a)      Christ is the Sacrifice.
b)      That takes away our sins.
c)       And the sins of all the World’s people.
(Through this QT I exclaim: Amazing Sacrifice)
---------
‘When Jesus Spoke Privately To His Disciples About His Betrayal.’
Matthew 26:22.
a)       They were feeling deeply hurt because Jesus told them that one of them was the betrayer.
b)      They were also very sad for the same reason.
c)       One by one they asked Jesus if they were the betrayer.
(This Second one: When Jesus Spoke Privately To His Disciples About His Betrayal, causes me to Thank God for His Faithfulness, the Lord Jesus Christ for Salvation and the Holy Spirit for Comfort and Power)
---------
Chris.

When Jesus spoke publicly to His Disciples about His betrayal they were very sad. It must have made their hearts so sad to know that one of their number was like that. Only Judas, the betrayer, was different his heart was already hardened through the love of money and position but in the end it killed him with a ghastly death.

It Is Good To Show Our Faith!

‘It Is Good To Show Our Faith.’
James 2:18.
a)       Some people may say that other people have Faith but the speaker has action.
b)      How can we see Faith apart from our actions.
c)       We show our Faith by putting into practice in faithful action.
(This QT tells me that It Is Good To Show My Faith)
--------
‘Jesus Knew Yet Gave Abundant Grace To Judas Iscariot’
John 13:29.
a)       There is no doubt at all that Judas was called by Jesus to become His Disciple.
b)      The other Disciples misunderstood Jesus here.
c)       The other Disciples thought that Jesus was sending Judas to buy food for the feast or to give to the poor people.
d)      Jesus knew already that Judas was on the way to betray Him.
(This Second one reminds me that Jesus Knew Yet Gave Abundant Grace To Judas Iscariot)
--------
Chris.

Jesus knew and yet gave abundant Grace to Judas Iscariot. We cannot fully understand the Grace of God. Not only can we read the Scriptures and sing about Grace but there have been countless sermons preached and books written about it. The least we can do is the Thank God for His Grace.

Trust In The Lord!

‘Trust In The Lord!’
Isaiah 26:3-4.
a)       With Perfect Peace.
b)      The Lord will protect the people whose mind is stayed on Him.
c)       These people’s minds cannot be changed.
d)      They Trust in the Lord.
e)       Trust in the Lord forever.
f)        The Lord alone is an Everlasting Rock.
(This QT encourages me to Trust In The Lord)
-------------
‘A Bright Light.’
Isaiah 9:2.
a)       The people who walk in darkness will see a bright light.
b)      The light will shine.
c)       On those people who live in the land of death’s shadow.
(Through this Second one I thank God for A Bright Light)
-------------
Chris.

We should learn to Trust in the Lord forever. Sometimes our Trust in Him may be shaken somewhat by our lifetime experiences but it cannot be taken away from us. It is wise to Trust in the Lord, the Bible encourages us to do that.

‘Jesus Rewarded By Father God.’
Isaiah 53:12.
a)      In this Scripture we see clearly some of what Jesus achieved on the Cross for us.
b)     Jesus:-
1-    Poured out His Life in death.
2-    Was counted with the sinners.
3-    Carried the sins of many people.
4-    Made intercession for the transgressors.
c)      Father God gives Him a portion with the great and mighty people.
d)     Jesus will divide the prize with the strong people.
(In this QT I find Jesus Rewarded By Father God)
------------

d)     1 Samuel 7:14. Of the cities to Israel.
e)      2 Kings 8:1. The widow’s son, restored to life.
f)       2 Kings 14:25. For the borders and boundaries of the Nation.
g)     2 Chronicles 24:13; Ezra 6:5. Of God’s Temple.
h)     Job 42:10. Of Job’s prosperity.
i)        Psalm 85:1. Of the fortunes of Jacob.
j)        Psalm 126:1. Of the fortunes of Zion.
k)      Mark 3:5; Luke 6:10. Of the use of the man’s hand.
l)        Mark 8:25. For the blind man’s sight.
m)   Luke 8:36. Of the demon possessed man’s health.
n)     Romans 5:10. Of our relationship with God through the death of His Son.
(This Second one reminds me of the Wonders of Restoration)
------------
Chris.
Jesus will divide the prize with the strong people. I do not think that the reference here to the strong people necessarily refers to their physical strength. These are the people to whom God has given faith, patience and strength to endure their various experiences in life.

The Christian Life!

'The Christian Life.' a)  Deuteronomy 7:11. Keep the Word of  God. b)  Deuteronomy  7:12. Listen to the Word of God. c)  Deuteronomy...
