For Married Couples!

‘For Married Couples.’
Ephesians 5:22-33.
This is Biblical teaching that fits every culture if the culture will receive it.
a) Ephesians 5:22. Wives, be in subjection to your own husbands as unto the Lord, not to another woman’s husband – even if he is a pastor or seems “more spiritual” than your husband.
b) Ephesians 5:23. The husband is the head of the wife and Christ is the Head of the Church.
c) Ephesians 5:23. Christ Himself is the Saviour of His Body – the Church.
d) Ephesians 5:24. As the church submits to Christ, so wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
e) Ephesians 5:25. Husbands are to love their wives just as Christ loved the Church and gave His Life for her.
f) Ephesians 5:26-27. Christ’s goal is to make the Church Holy and Clean washed by the cleansing of God’s Word. He did this to present her to Himself as a glorious Church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be Holy and without fault
g) Ephesians 5:28. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.
h) Ephesians 5:29. No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the Church.
i) Ephesians 5:30. We are all, if we are True Believers, members of the Body of Christ.
j) Ephesians 5:31. A Scriptural marriage foundation:-
1-A man leaves his father and mother.
2-He is joined to his wife.
3-The two are united into one.
k) Ephesians 5:32. It illustrates the way that Christ and the Church are one.
l) Ephesians 5:33. Each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

‘The Human Growing Of Jesus.’
His Environmental and Spiritual background.
Luke 2:41-52.
a) Luke 2:41-42. His Earthly parents were obedient and religious Jews.
b) Luke 2:43-45. Life was very much in community.
c) Luke 2:46-47. From a young age Jesus loved the House of God and the Word of God.
d) Luke 2:48. His mother’s love for Him was merely good and caring human mother’s love.
e) Luke 2:49. Jesus told His parents that He must be in His Father’s house.
f) Luke 2:50. His parents did not understand this.
g) Luke 2:51. Nevertheless He was submissive to His Earthly parents. If parents are still financially and/or legally responsible for their children, no matter how old they are, the children, like Jesus need to be submissive to their parents.
h) Luke 2:51. Mary treasured and stored all these things in her heart.
i) Luke 2:52. Jesus increased in Wisom and in stature and in favour with God and man.

Chris.
We live in days where Believing young people are often encouraged to “do something for God”. There are some churches and missions that are breakers of families, even good Believing families, because of their teaching to young people that is in direct contradiction to the Word of God. The family unit was created by God and church or mission should honour and recognise that fact.

The Christian Life!
