2 Peter 1:1
a) Simon Peter, a Servant and Apostle of Jesus Christ,
b) To those who through the Righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ
c) Have received a Faith as precious as ours.

It is very clear from this one verse of the Scripture that Apostle Peter was writing to those people who were True Believers. Not only did he write about just "receiving Jesus", He wrote about a Faith to be received because of the Righteousness Of Our God and Saviour Jesus Christ. Precious Faith is really a unique Gift given to us by Jesus Christ. We can then "feed" that Faith by developing a good pattern of daily devotion through Bible Reading and Prayer.
