John 3:26.
a) And they came to John and said to him,
b) "Rabbi, He Who was with you across the Jordan,
c) "To Whom you bore witness -
d) "Look, He is baptising
e) "And all are going to Him."

'God's Promises Should Make Us Pure.'
2 Corinthians 7:1.
a) Since we have these promises, beloved,
b) Let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit,
c) Bringing Holiness to completion
d) In the Fear of God.
(This Second one teaches me that God's Promises Should Make Us Pure)
PRAY: To be cleansed from all defilement.

God's Promises should make us pure. If we really believe in the Promises of God and take them seriously, then surely we should want to be clean from anything that would defile our lives. I remember, years ago, a well-known preacher said: "God's Grace is free, but it is not cheap".
