God’s Hand On The Baby!

‘God’s Hand On The Baby.’
Exodus 2:1-10.
God loves and God gives children. From this QT we can see the special way in which God had His Hand on Moses.
a) Exodus 2:1-2; Hebrews 11:23. It seemed that this baby was being born out of time. Pharaoh, Egypt’s ruler had decided that all baby boys born to the Israelis should be killed. However in this Levite family the mother had Faith to hide her baby.
b) Exodus 2:3. When the mother could no longer hide him, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with asphalt and pitch. She placed the child in it and set it among the reeds by the bank of the Nile.
c) Exodus 2:4. The baby’s sister stood at a distance to watch the baby in the basket and see what would happen to him.
d) Exodus 2:5. Pharaoh's daughter went down to bathe at the Nile while her servant girls walked along the riverbank. Seeing the basket among the reeds, she sent her slave girl to get it.
e) Exodus 2:6. When she opened it, she saw the child—a little boy, crying. She felt sorry for him and said, "This is one of the Hebrew boys."
f) Exodus 2:7. Here was great Wisdom from the sister of the little baby. She asked Pharaoh’s daughter if she should get an Israeli woman to care for the baby.
g) Exodus 2:8-9. "Go." Pharaoh's daughter told her. So the girl went and called the boy's mother. Then Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this child and nurse him for me, and I will pay your wages." So the woman took the boy and nursed him. This was amazing Grace, the baby’s mother was being paid a salary to nurse her own baby.
h) Exodus 2:10. When the child grew older, she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. She named him Moses, "Because," she said, "I drew him out of the water."
(Through this true Bible story I can see God’s Hand On The Baby, and His Plan being unfolded for His People in their very difficult times)

Chris.
Verbal abuse is something that is very wearisome to encounter or to live, work with or study under. Unlike some other forms of abuse it shows no mark on our body but it puts a big mark and wound into our heart. All kinds of dysfunctional behaviour come because of verbal abuse. If anyone reading this is going through verbal abuse please do not be afraid to get help. If anyone reading this is still suffering from the emotional scars caused by verbal abuse please come to God with it first and, if necessary seek help and prayer together with someone you trust.
