Mob Rule!

‘Mob Rule.’
Matthew 27:12-25.
a) Matthew 27:12. There can be no human answer against it.
b) Matthew 27:13. Is enhanced by a weak and fearful government.
c) Matthew 27:14. Should not be responded against in an active physical way – it only makes the situation worse.
d) Matthew 27:15. Sometimes hides behind traditionalism and cultural influences.
e) Matthew 27:16. Barabbas – a notorious criminal who was under sentence of capital punishment was going to be released to appease the people.
f) Matthew 27:17. Pilate really wanted to release Jesus because he knew that Jesus was innocent.
g) Matthew 27:18. Pilate knew that the Jewish leaders were envious of Jesus and the mob was now ruling. Led by the Elders and Priests.
h) Matthew 27:19. Pilate’s wife affirmed the innocence of Jesus by her dream. She told her husband not to do anything.
i) Matthew 27:20. The Elders and Jewish Priests were working so hard to create mob rule.
j) Matthew 27:21. Pilate again offered the choice: Barabbas or Jesus to be released. The crowd yelled for Barabbas.
k) Matthew 27:22. Pilate submitted to mob rule when he asked them what he should do with Jesus. The mob cried out for Jesus’ Crucifixion.
l) Matthew 27:23. Pilate asked the mob “why?” They just responded with mob rule – “crucify Him”.
m) Matthew 27:24. Pilate public washed his hand of the whole thing. The Nation was out of control, being ruled by the mob.
n) Matthew 27:25. The mob even involved their children and said that they and their children (descendents) would be responsible for the death of Jesus.
(Through this QT I find how the wrong concept of democracy can bring Mob Rule. The right kind of democracy submits to the Government of God)

‘Love Is Action.’
1 John 4:7-12.
a) 1 John 4:7. This is written to the Beloved, Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
b) 1 John 4:7. We are to continue to love one another, for:-
1- Love comes from God.
2- Anyone who loves comes from God.
3- Anyone who loves knows God.
c) 1 John 4:8. Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
d) 1 John 4:9. God demonstrated His Love for and to us.
e) 1 John 4:10. This is real Love not that we loved God, but that he Loved us and sent his Son as a Sacrifice to take away our sins.
f) 1 John 4:11. Dear friends, since God Loved us that much, we surely ought to Love each other. This Love is only possible in the fellowship of the Beloved.
g) 1 John 4:12. If we love each other, God lives in us, and His Love is brought to full expression in us.
(This Second one teaches me that Love Is Action)
-----
Chris.
Love is Action. This is a very clear statement in line with the Word of God. We cannot say we love if we have no action. The first love relationship with have is to be with God; the second love relationship we have is to be with our family; the third love relationship we have is to be with the Beloved, the Family of God and then we can healthily love the non believers and invite them to share in God’s Kingdom through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
