The Truth Of God!

‘The Truth Of God.’
a) Romans 15:8. Jesus Christ was a minister for it, to confirm the Promises of God.
b) Romans 1:25. Should not be changed into a lie.
c) Romans 3:7. Will abound unto the Glory of God.
(Through this QT I want to live in and to teach The Truth Of God)

‘Humility, Healing And Honesty.’
2 Kings 5:1-16.
a) 2 Kings 5:1. Naaman was:-
1- A captain of the Syrian army.
2- A great man before his master.
3- Honourable.
4- Used by the Lord to give deliverance to Syria. (Yes the Lord loves Syrians)
5- A mighty man of valour.
6- A leper.
b) 2 Kings 5:2. Naaman’s wife had a little Israeli maid.
c) 2 Kings 5:3. The maid cared for Naaman and communicated with his wife about a possible healing situation for him.
d) 2 Kings 5:4. Naaman was handed this information.
e) 2 Kings 5:5. The king of Syria sent Naaman with a letter and many gifts to the king of Israel.
f) 2 Kings 5:6. The letter was very specific and honest.
g) 2 Kings 5:7. The king of Israel:-
1- Misread the letter.
2- Became afraid.
3- Believed the wrong thing.
A big lesson is here for us. If we misread situations we can easily become afraid and then we believe the wrong thing.
h) 2 Kings 5:8. Elisha the Prophet of God heard about what had happened and asked for Naaman to be sent to him.
i) 2 Kings 5:9. Naaman came with pomp to Elisha’s door.
j) 2 Kings 5:10. Elisha merely sent a messenger to Naaman, this was not rude, it was practical, Elisha was protecting himself from leprosy. The message was:-
1- Go and wash in the Jordan seven times.
2- Your flesh will become normal.
3- You will be clean.
k) 2 Kings 5:11. Naaman was angry and proud. He thought that:-
1- Elisha would come out to meet him.
2- Elisha would stand and call on the Name of his God.
3- Elisha would strike his hand over the leprous place.
4- Elisha would cure him.
l) 2 Kings 5:12. Naaman used human reasoning that came from his pride and went away in a rage. Pride often causes anger.
m) 2 Kings 5:13. Naaman’s servants came to him and reasoned with him, trying to convince him to go into the Jordan as prescribed by Elisha.
n) 2 Kings 5:14. Naaman humbled himself and he was healed.
o) 2 Kings 5:15. Naaman returned to Elisha gratefully extolling God and tried to give lavish gifts to Elisha.
p) 2 Kings 5:16. Elisha refused the gifts. He was honestly fearing God. He did not want to compromise with the Syrians.
(This Second one gives me the understanding that Humility, Healing And Honesty are all linked)

Chris.
Sometimes God asks us to do things that we really do not want to do. We resist and have some contest in our heart with God. This is really wrong, there is no excuse for it. When God asks us to do something let us always be willing, no matter what it is. The result of our obedience will surely be good.
