2 Timothy 2:3-4.

We are to share in
suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
b)
No one serving in the
military gets entangled in everyday affairs.
c)
The soldier’s aim is to
please the enlisting officer.

‘Receiving The Words From The Father.’
John 17:8.
a)
The Words that the Father
Gave to Jesus Christ He has given to us.
b)
We need to receive these
Words.
c)
We should know in Truth
that Jesus Christ has come from the Father.
d)
We Believe that the
Father has sent Jesus Christ to us.
(This Second one reminds me that through Jesus Christ I need to
be Receiving The Words From The Father)

Receiving the
Words from the Father through Jesus Christ and by the Holy Spirit should a
basic and simple part of our life and experience as a True Believer. We receive
these Words in several different ways: Firstly, through the Bible as we read
it. Secondly, as we hear preaching and teaching of God’s Word. Thirdly, as we
quietly seek God in our personal Prayer times. Fourthly, through Gifts of the Holy
Spirit that are spoken. It is not for us to choose which way to receive these
Words the initiative comes from Father God. I think that people who say that
they “cannot hear the Voice of God” are actually limiting Him through their
wrong concepts that may have come to them through incorrect Bible teaching.
