Guard Our Words!



‘Guard Our Words.’
Ecclesiastes 10:11-14.
a)   Ecclesiastes 10:11. A serpent will bite without enchantment and a babbler is no better.
b)   Ecclesiastes 10:12. The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious.
c)   Ecclesiastes 10:12. The lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
d)   Ecclesiastes 10:13. The beginning of the words of a fool are foolishness.
e)   Ecclesiastes 10:13. The end of the words of a fool are mischievous madness.
f)    Ecclesiastes 10:14. A fool is full of words.
g)   Ecclesiastes 10:14. A fool attempts to predict the future but it is nonsense.

‘Victory And Holiness.’
Romans 6:2-22.
a)   Romans 6:2. We who have died to sin should no longer live for sin.
b)   Romans 6:3. We who have been Baptised into Christ have been Baptised into His Death.
c)   Romans 6:4. As a result of our Baptism, we should walk in Newness of Life.
d)   Romans 6:5. We are united with Christ in His Death and Resurrection.
e)   Romans 6:6. Our old man was Crucified with Christ that the body of sin might be done away with. This means that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
f)    Romans 6:7. If we are dead we are justified from sin.
g)   Romans 6:8. If we died with Christ we believe also that we shall live through Him.
h)   Romans 6:9. Christ dies no more. Death has no more dominion over Him.
i)    Romans 6:10. Christ died once but He now lives forever unto God.
j)    Romans 6:11. We are to reckon ourselves to be dead to sin but alive to God in Jesus Christ.
k)   Romans 6:12. We should not let sin reign in our bodies wanting us to obey its lusts.
l)    Romans 6:13. We do not present ourselves to sin as instruments of unrighteousness.
m)  Romans 6:13. We are to present ourselves to God as alive from the dead.
n)   Romans 6:13. We are to present our members to God as instruments of Righteousness.
o)   Romans 6:14. Sin should not have dominion over us because now we are under Grace.
p)   Romans 6:15. God forbid that we should sin because we are living under Grace.
q)   Romans 6:16. To whom or what we present our members to obey, we become servants of. This applies both to sin and obedience.
r)    Romans 6:17-18. We should give thanks to God because we used to be servants of sin but now we are servants to the Teaching the makes us Righteous before God.
s)   Romans 6:19. We are to actively present our bodies as servants to Righteousness which produces Sanctification.
t)    Romans 6:20. As servants of sin we were fruitless, our lives were heading for death.
u)   Romans 6:21. We were fruitless and now we are ashamed of those former ways.
v)   Romans 6:22. No we are made free from sin and have become servants of God.
w)  Romans 6:22. The result of being servants of God is that we have our fruit unto Sanctification and at the end Eternal Life.
(Through this Second one I am comforted by these Words about Victory and Holiness)

We are now under Grace if we are True Believers. Grace has become our canopy and affects every part of our being and doing. We live in Grace. Because of this Glorious fact we can now live in Freedom in Jesus Christ. Our lifestyle has changed and also out thinking has changed.
