Isaiah 52:14.
a) Here is Christ on the Cross - a word picture.
b) There were many people who were appalled at the sight of Christ being tortured.
c) His appearance became so disfigured.
d) He was not recognisable as a human being.
e) His Form was marred beyond human likeness.

a) Psalm 47:4. Is chosen for us.
b) Psalm 78:55. Is allotted to us by the Lord.
c) 1 Peter 1:4. Can never:-
1-Perish.
2-Spoil.
3-Fade.
4-Be removed.
(Through this Second one I am reminded of My Inheritance)

The Form of Christ was marred beyond human likeness! Whether modern or historical no-one enjoys looking at pictures of people who have been tortured in battle or conflict. Torture leaves behind very ugly and terrible pictures. Yet Christ suffered such torture on our behalf so that our sins can be forgiven and that we may have New and Eternal Life.
