Chains!


'Chains.'
a)  Jude 1:6. Chains bind rebellious angels.
b)  Revelation 20:2. Chains bind Satan.
c)  Judges 8:26. Chains were worn by camels.
d)  Judges 16:21. Chains bound Samson.
e)  1 Samuel 15:32. Chains bound Agag the King of the Amalekites.
f)  1 Kings 6:21. Chains protected the entrance to the Most Holy Place.
g)  Psalm 107:14. The Lord breaks our chains.
h)  Isaiah 28:22. We are to stop mocking or our chains will become heavier.
i)  Isaiah 51:14. Chains bend down the captive exile.
j)  Isaiah 52:2; 58:6. We can remove our chains of slavery.
k)  Jeremiah 20:2. Jeremiah was put in chains.
l)  Jeremiah 29:26. False prophets should be put in chains.
m)  Jeremiah 30:8. God will break and snap the chains that bind His People.
n)  Lamentations 3:7. Chains are heavy and way those bound by them down.
o)  Acts 16:26. An earthquake caused the chains to fall off all the prisoners.
p)  Acts 24:27; 25:14; Ephesians 6:20. Apostle Paul spent a long time as a prisoner in chains.

'A Sinner.'
a)  John 9:24. Jesus was accused of being a sinner.
b)  1 Timothy 2:14. Eve was deceived and became the first sinner.
c)  James 5:20. A sinner can be turned from the error of their way.
d)  Luke 7:39. Jesus received the ministry of a sinner.
e)  Luke 18:13. A sinner may cry to God for Mercy.
f)  Luke 19:7. Jesus accepted the invitation of sinners to be their guests.
(This Second one makes me realise that there is always Hope for A Sinner)

When we are in chains, whether physical, emotional or spiritual, we do well not to compare ourselves with other people or to mock other people, doing so only makes our own chains become heavier and our hearts more bitter. When we are in chains the only sensible thing to do is to keep looking to the Lord Who is able to set us free from our chains.
