‘Luxury.’
a) Proverbs 19:10. Is not correct for a fool to live in.
b) Proverbs 21:17. Those people who love it will never be rich.
c) Proverbs 21:20. To live in it one must be wise.
d) Amos 6:1. It is not necessarily lasting.
e) Revelation 18:3. The Babylon-like World system has a desire for it.
(This QT teaches me to be very careful about wanting to live in Luxury)

‘Obedience Is Doing It.’
a) Job 36:11. If they listen and obey God, they will be Blessed with prosperity throughout their lives. All their years will be pleasant.
b) James 1:22. We should be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves.
c) Romans 2:13. For it is not the hearers of the Law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the Law who will be Justified.
d) Deuteronomy 6:3. The Lord called Israel to listen closely and obey. Then:-
1- All would go well with them.
2- They would have many children.
3- The land would flow with milk and honey.
4- The Lord’s Promises would be fulfilled.
(Through this Second one I know that Obedience is not just giving mental assent: Obedience Is Doing It)

Those people who love luxury will never be rich. God may give us luxury – that is a Blessing from Him for us to benefit from for however long. If we begin to love luxury it is very dangerous because we usually end up loving luxury more than we love God.
